Investing in Therapy

Therapy is an investment in feeling better, sleeping better, and having more space for the life you actually want to be living.

Studio Wolff is a private-pay therapy practice. Keeping the practice outside of insurance networks allows us to make decisions about your care based on your individual needs rather than insurance requirements.

55-minute individual therapy session: $225

15-minute consultation: Complimentary

During your consultation, we'll briefly talk about what you're looking for, answer questions about working together, and determine whether Studio Wolff feels like the right fit.

Using Out-of-Network Benefits

Your insurance may still help pay for therapy.

Studio Wolff does not bill insurance directly, but many insurance plans include out-of-network mental health benefits that may reimburse you for a portion of your therapy costs.

If you have out-of-network benefits, Studio Wolff can provide a superbill containing the information you need to submit a claim to your insurance company.

Your reimbursement depends on your individual insurance plan, deductible, allowed amount, and out-of-network coverage. Reimbursement is not guaranteed.

Before beginning therapy, consider asking your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for outpatient mental health services?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible? If so, how much remains?
  • What percentage is reimbursed after my deductible is met?
  • What is the allowed amount for an individual psychotherapy session?
  • How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?

You are always welcome to ask me questions about how this process works.

Why Private Pay?

More privacy. More flexibility. Care built around you.

Insurance can be helpful, but it can also mean that your insurance company has requirements regarding diagnosis, documentation, medical necessity, and reimbursement.

As a private-pay practice, Studio Wolff can focus treatment on your individual needs and goals.

This can be especially useful for shorter-term or specialized treatment, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Insomnia (CBT-I), as well as women seeking therapy during life transitions who may not want insurance determining the parameters of their care.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of your appointment.

Studio Wolff accepts major credit and debit cards as well as eligible HSA/FSA cards.

A card will be securely kept on file for payment according to the practice's financial policies.

Cancellation Policy

Life happens. And, as a working parent, I get it.

Your appointment time is reserved specifically for you.  I offer An 8-hour cancellation window. You are always in control of your session calendar on my up-to-date online client portal.

Late cancellations and missed appointments may be charged according to Studio Wolff's cancellation policy.

Good Faith Estimate

Your Right to a Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who do not have health insurance or who choose not to use their health insurance to pay for care generally have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate explaining the expected cost of their care.

A Good Faith Estimate provides an estimate of the charges reasonably expected for your scheduled services based on the information available at the time the estimate is prepared.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services. When services are scheduled sufficiently in advance, federal rules also require providers to furnish the estimate within specified timeframes. The Good Faith Estimate not a bill and does not require you to receive services from Studio Wolff.

If the amount you are ultimately billed by a provider is $400 or more above that provider's Good Faith Estimate, you may be eligible to dispute the bill through the federal patient-provider dispute resolution process.

Please keep a copy of your Good Faith Estimate for your records.

For more information about your rights under the No Surprises Act, visit the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services' No Surprises resources.

Questions About Cost?

You deserve to understand the financial side of therapy before deciding whether to begin.

If you'd like to talk about fees, out-of-network benefits, CBT-I treatment, or whether Studio Wolff is the right fit, we can start with a complimentary consultation.
